| | News and Information | WiFi Service WiFi internet service is available at Mercer Area Library. | NEW LIBRARY HOURS In 2011 we find ourselves facing additional expenses for utilities while losing major funding from the state and the Boro. Our Board of Trustees could see no way to make up this shortfall without reducing operating hours. Beginning March 1, the library will be closed on Mondays and will close at noon on Saturdays. Regular hours will be in place the remaining days of the week.
How Can You Help? Make a contribution to our mail campaign in May, or directly at any other time. Join the Friends of the Mercer Library and lend your support to our fundraising events. Encourage your municipality (Mercer Boro, Coolspring, Findley, Jefferson and East Lackawannock Townships) to increase their level of support for the library.
We sincerely hope the opportunity will come to fully restore hours. | Email Address The email address for Mercer Library is: mercerarealibrary@zoominternet.net. | Friends of the Mercer Area Library (Membership Forms Available) 2012 membership brochures for the Friends group are available at the circulation desk.
